After several pleas from TTA leadership, members, and parents – and most importantly a recommendation from Dr. Ferrer of the LA County Department of Public Health – TUSD reluctantly moved to suspend in-person instruction at least until Feb.1st. In a rare Saturday special session of the school board, members debated the pros and cons on continuing with the current TK-1, High School sports conditioning, and Special Ed severe needs pods. After much dialogue, the trustees voted to allow Special Ed learning pods to continue while suspending all other student inperson activates, and will reassess any continued closure as new information arrives.
