Automatic Benefits Description
CTA Access to Savings Discounts at restaurants, retailers, hotels, car rentals, cruises, theme parks, entertainment, home and garden, health and beauty, auto service, and more.
CTA/NEA Educators Employment Liability (EEL) Provides $1 million "On the Job" liability coverage; up to $35,000 for job-related criminal proceedings; $1,000 per bail bond; & $500 for assault-related personal property damage or destruction.
CTA's Group Legal Services (GLS) Program Provides free consultation and legal representation on job-related matters and referrals to attorneys for a variety of non-employment matters.
CTA Death & Dismemberment Plan A life insurance benefit that provides up to $2,000 death benefit and up to $10,000 accidental death and dismemberment benefit. Life insurance benefit increases with each year of continuous CTA membership.
NEA Complimentary Life Insurance A benefit that provides up to $1,000 group term life insurance and up to $5,000 accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance and more.
CTA Disaster Relief Fund Provides grants for financial assistance to members who have experienced significant losses due to natural disasters in California.
Voluntary Benefits Description
CTA 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan Independent investment consultant recommends and monitors all investment options. No surrender fees or commissioned sales representative.
CTA Group Voluntary Disability Insurance Plan (The Standard) Income protection no one should be without. New teachers have 270 days for open enrollment. Premiums based on annual salary. Benefits include $25/day in addition to fully paid sick leave (after 7-day waiting period), then up to 80% of daily contract salary.
CTA Group Voluntary Life Insurance Plan (The Standard) Level term coverage from $25,000 to $400,000. New teachers have 270 days for open enrollment. Affordable premiums. Optional coverage for spouse/domestic partner and dependents.
Auto and Home Insurance (California Casualty) Zero deductible for vandalism or collision on school property or at school-sponsored events. Free identity theft resolution service. Flexible payment plans with Summer and Holiday Skip options.
