The TTA Scholarship Program awards financial assistance to deserving students within the Torrance Unified School District who are pursuing higher education. By recognizing academic achievement, leadership, and service, we aim to empower the next generation and help ease the financial burden of college or vocational studies.

TTA Charity Fund & Scholarships

Support the TTA Charity Fund Today!

Years ago, the Torrance Teachers Association established the TTA Charity Fund to provide scholarships and support to community youth groups. Thanks to generous contributions, TTA has annually awarded scholarships and supplied back-to-school materials to elementary students.
Please consider becoming part of the next generation of supporters or continuing your already-dedicated support of this most worthy of causes. Donate to the Fund by a simple payroll deduction. Your donation will be collected together with the donations from your colleagues, then distributed among college scholarships for dependents of TTA members, a senior at each of the four Torrance high schools, and to community/youth organizations such as the Torrance Public Library, the Salvation Army’s “Operation Backpack”, the South Bay Children’s Health Center, and the Torrance Sister City Association’s student exchange program.
Individual donations can also be made to the TTA Charity Fund during the year in memory of a friend or loved one; in lieu of flowers at a funeral; and in honor of a birthday, graduation, or anniversary, etc. A letter acknowledging such donation will be sent to the person or family indicated, and recognition will be made at the Annual Scholarship Reception.
Please complete the payroll deduction form and return it to your TTA Building Rep or the TTA Office as soon as possible. Thank you.
