The LA County Department of Public Health (LACDPH) is reporting lower COVID case numbers, prompting
officials to give schools the green light to reopen under looser but still strict guidelines. With cohort numbers
moving from 12 to 14 (16 where space allows), schools can reopen TK-6, but must still operate under the
AM/PM hybrid model, maintain their COVID safety plans, and follow the ever changing County protocols. As
this information was shared with county school districts, TUSD wasted no time in moving forward in their efforts
to fully reopen elementary schools TK-5, and has set a target date of March 4.
